how is your thyroid?
Did you know that up to 25% of all mothers experience thyroid disorders compared to 3-4% of the general population? (study). We are going to deep dive into signs and symptoms of a possible thyroid disorder and why normal bloodwork isn’t enough. We’ll be talking about how this can impact your breastfeeding relationship and so many aspects of your health. We’ll also be addressing some nutritional considerations for those of you who are already diagnosed with a thyroid disorder.
let’s do brunch!
This month’s special treat is an entire Mother’s Day brunch menu of Fed Well Baby recipes that are dairy, soy and egg free! This menu can also be easily adapted for those who are wheat and nut free as well. If you have additional food restrictions, you can likely still choose certain recipes.
are you ready for a personal challenge?
Being a food allergy mama of a baby or toddler is HARD. It’s mentally taxing, emotionally draining, and physically exhausting at times. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in what is going on with our little one and find that our own physical and mental health take the backseat.
In light of all of that, we’re taking the whole month of May and focusing on ways to create space for self care, rest and intentionality. This applies to you whether you are a mother, breastfeeding or just have a food allergy baby or toddler.
this month’s voice…
“Just had a naturopath appointment for myself and my daughter and WOW!! I wish I did this months ago. I highly highly recommend seeing a naturopath. This is the first time I feel hopeful in months, she was so knowledgeable and so far the most knowledgeable than my daughters pediatrician and G.I. specialist.” - Tara
should you see this provider?
What is a naturopath and should you see one? Could it make a significant difference in your baby’s allergy issues? What about your own health? What kind testing do they do? We’re discussing the evidence for seeing a naturopath and whether it’s the right move for you, plus tips on how to find a good one.
